The U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Great Lakes District – Western Region consists of nine Divisions spread throughout portions of Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana and Michigan.
Our volunteer members work as part of the U.S. Coast Guard family to promote and improve recreational boating safety by offering a variety of Boating Education classes and Vessel Safety Checks; support Coast Guard maritime homeland security efforts by participating in marine safety events and support the Coast Guard’s operations, administrative and logistical requirements by means of many specifically trained members with special skills.
