In most any organization the role of IT — whatever it may be called — is to conscientiously select and apply those aspects of the entire range of information technologies that can most be expected to maximize benefits to the organization as a whole, in cost-effective ways.
The USCG Auxiliary Information Technology Group (ANACO-IT) oversees three directorates: Computer Software & Systems (C), IT User Support & Services (U), and Cybersecurity (Y).
Computer Software & Systems
The C-Directorate is responsible for all Auxiliary software development, national website infrastructure, and technology research & development. It includes the national website division and the research & development division.

National Website Division — Manages and maintains cgaux.org and WOW II unit websites across all levels of the organization.

Research & Development Division — Develops new tools and systems to support Auxiliary operations and member effectiveness.

WOW II Platform — Data-driven website system specifically designed for flotillas, divisions, and districts.
IT User Support & Services
The U-Directorate is responsible for AuxData — the Auxiliary's membership and administrative database — AuxInfo systems, and the electronic form solutions used by members and management on a daily basis.

AuxData II — The Auxiliary membership and administrative database. Members without access should submit a Help Desk ticket.

AuxInfo Systems — Presents subsets of AuxData for member and management use at auxinfo.uscg.gov.

Electronic Forms — Standard and electronic form solutions including the 7028 (Change of Member Information) and 7029 forms.

National Testing Center (NTC2) — Online testing center using Auxiliary ID number and eDirectory password.
Cybersecurity
The Y-Directorate manages the Auxiliary Cybersecurity Augmentation program (AUXCYBER). The Coast Guard Auxiliary is actively engaged with key USCG partner organizations to allow qualified Auxiliarists with expertise in cybersecurity and cyberspace operations to augment the Coast Guard cyberspace workforce.
